White Labeling Underway

As part of the drive to release The Claymore Project as a White Label product all references to the Web company behind The Claymore Project have been removed from the admin panel. Work on the public area of the website has been scheduled to remove remaining references.

These changes will allow developers to seamlessly resell The Claymore Content Management System to their clients providing a powerful sytem in a very short timeframe.

Tests were performed this week to ensure that alias access via a sub domain or generic domain can be provided in future as well. For example, resellers could provide CMS access to their clients via:
  • the client's own domain eg. cms.myclientsdomain.com
  • a single generic domain registered by the reseller for CMS access for all their clients eg. cms.resellercms.com
A single generic domain is the recommended option as it will ensure minimum maintenance to reseller's client's domains is required in future.

Business Logos in The Claymore Project

As part of the effort to roll The Claymore Project out as a white label content management system a small update was pushed to the website on Thursday. Where a specific company logo has been set for your business it will be displayed after you login to The Claymore Project in place of the Claymore logo. This is particularly useful for those who provide content management for their clients via Claymore.

Header logos can only be set by Admin users at this time.

Avatars For All Claymore Project Users

The number of third party channels using data from The Claymore Project is increasing which has prompted the addition of Avatars for all Claymore Users. Avatars are small images that capture the essence of your business and are usually dislayed next to your business name and address or map location on a particular third party website your business is associated with.

Avatars can currently only be set by Admin users.

Premium Module Access and Backup Module Launch

We pushed another series of updates to the Claymore Project Admin website this afternoon. One of the most significant change is that Premium Modules are now available for purchase on an individual basis. Access to the modules is granted specifically by an Admin user, those without access will find details of each module's features along with pricing information.

The new Backup Module has also been launched with this update. This Module keeps your data secure by allowing you to download a backup of your website data including text, images and any uploaded files. All of this is neatly packaged in a single zip file which you can store on your own system. Access to the Backup Module can be enabled for an annual fee of £75.
