Cumulative Updates for Week Ending 28 November 2008

Updates to The Claymore Project system this week are noted below:
  • Changed background of top dropdown menu to make text more readable
  • Corrected a bug that broke some pages when trying to write out the business name
  • Corrected bug that caused the character count for the Associate Opening Hours field not to display
Also in Claymore related news, our new Groupbuilder product for Hotel and Pub Groups entered Beta testing this week and is scheduled to have the first live site running the system published very soon.

More minor updates

Some more minor updates to the system:
  • Added 'clear' function to Search Entities box which is available to Group and Admin users
  • Added Entity Name to top banner for easier navigation for those controlling more than one Entity
  • Added Opening Hours fields for Hotel and Restaurant entities
  • Wrote functions to display Opening Hours and Reserve Table areas on Sitebuilder sites
  • Wrote function to generate Feature Navigation buttons for Sitebuilder for Groups

Minor Claymore Updates for Restaurants and Hotels

Added a couple of new Core Pages today. Hotels now have pages for Staff/Team and Club/Late Night facilities. Restaurants also have these plus one to handle Functions and Hire.

Also added an AJAX loader icon to the Search Entities box which is available to Group and Admin users.

Restaurant Control Panel Update

The Control Panel for Restaurants was updated on Thursday last week bringing the system in line with the most recent advances in functions and layout. The changes include embeded help functions, a much improved and more intuitive interface and some AJAX to speed things up.

Next in line for the updates are Golf Clubs and Attractions.

Claymore Project Control Panel Update

The Claymore Project Control Panel was updated today bringing both Accommodation Providers and Associates up to version 2 of the software. A new interface provides easier access to existing functions as well as introducing a range of new tools.

The changes include:
  • Open Rooms users can select from a range of new layouts for their website and change on demand
  • Enhanced Custom Page control for Sitebuilder and Associate users
  • Integrated Help function
  • Enhanced control over Meta Tags for Search Engine Optimisation
  • Open Rooms users can now add a comprehensive Gallery on request

Open Rooms Upgrades Software

Open Rooms Scotland has this week introduced the first in a series of upgrades for its users giving a choice of three new "skins" for the accommodation websites.

The Open Rooms Scotland website package combines The Claymore Project tourism database with Bookassist's booking engine and offers affordable ecommerce ready web design for the largest or smallest operator with prices starting from £695 plus VAT inclusive of hosting, website development and integration of Bookassist into the site.

The new changes allow accommodation providers to select the design they wish from a selection of three options with others added over the next couple of months.
